I went to my first meeting of The Hampton Roads Penturners Meeting today at the Virginia Beach Woodcraft. I got a warm welcome from the members and got the chance to turn 3 pens for the Pens for the troops program. Thanks Fred for your help in getting be stated and with finishing my first pen today. I had a lot of fun and learned. We had the youngest member with us today 3 year Aiden, from what I saw it wont be long and he'll be teaching classes to us. Thanks Tina and Fred for hosting a great meeting. I only have a few problem now. I need to find out more about making polymer clay blanks, now to turn pens other the slim line. The other members had some of the wonderful pens they had turned and I want to learn how. I'm hoping to be able to bring my Evelyn with me next time.
