Groove Copper

My first Groove pen, in gunmetal, from PSI. The blank is a Lave Bright, called Copper with Gold Thread, also from PSI. This is a slim click pen, which I made for a friend. He prefers slim pens, which I abhor. But hey, like the old Vulcan proverb says, "I rejoice in our differences." Regardless, I'm happy with how it turned out.

Looks good! It does seem kind of slim but it also looks like it gives you a chance to show off a nice, long blank

I think the length makes it look slimmer.

How did you like the groove pens? I've seen them, but never buy the kits. Personally, I love how slim you make the slimline style!

I like the Groove. I have a couple more kits to make. I'm amazed at how small they've been able to make the click mechanism. My friend really prefers slim pens, so I tried to turn the bodies as straight as possible. Personally, I don't like "fat" pens, especially fat slim pens. I don't mind a slight bulge, but definitely don't like them to look pregnant. But that's just my personal opinion.

Since these bodies were going to be turned so thin, I wanted to make sure the brass tubes didn't show through. So I back painted the blanks, painted the tubes, and colored the epoxy.
