I need a new drive belt for my mini lathe. Does anyone know where to get one? Ive done a google search for it, but cant find one.
Grizzly H8259 drive belt needed.

Yes I could do that, but Ive seen a thread on here that someone names a napa part number that will work. I would really like to buy something locally so I dont have to wait for shipping. Ive search done a search for that thread but cant find it. I do know it is a very common belt used on many of the 5 speed mini lathes.

If it helps Grizzly says the belt is 7x4x625. http://www.grizzly.com/products/H8259/parts/1

I dug out an old Gates parts book. You might try this Gates # 89112630. It should be a 24.65" Polyflex that might work.

I'm not sure if this will help, but when I needed a replacement belt for my Jet lathe, I found what I needed at a reasonable price at www.beltpalace.com. This was after trying multiple local automotive stores without success. I received my replacement belts promptly (I ordered two to be safe) and it's worked great for the last 6 months. Jet wanted an arm and a leg for their replacement.
