Grinding Jig

I just picked up one at the wood craft store after attending a class on sharpening turning tools. so far, it is very easy to use and wasn't very difficult to set up. One thing with the class and the info in the box. During the class they kept stressing to use a low speed grinder, like 1750 RPM; saying the 3250 RPM is way to fast. In the Woverine papers it says to use the 3250 RPM Grinder. There is a You Tube video to make one out of plywood;

Been using Wolverine Jig and 3450 rpm 6"dry grinder for over ten years. At the time bought my jig, was the best of it’s kind out there.

Some of the newer jigs which cost less also look good just don’t have any experience with them. From reading different reviews, on other jigs still think the Wolverine deserves your attention. The learning curve for using Wolverine & components pretty easy to master.

I have sharpened tools on both 1750 & 3450 rpm grinders, both will blue your tools if not careful.

I would prefer an 8" grinder, but since mine still works won't be replacing it anytime soone.
