Sanded 400 grit only, buffed with extra fine steel wool equivalent to #000/0000 and polished with Hut Ultra Gloss.

That really looks nice. Honestly, I'd not given much thought to acrylic on a lever action, by mind more heads to Walnut and so forth. Perhaps I'll reconsider, seeing your nice combination!
