Hello everyone,
I first learned pen turning from my Etsy partner/mentor a year ago (he and his lathe live across the country so no way to practice since then) and after another "refresher" visit I'm now in the process of going broke while outfitting my own workshop. My background going into this is more from the pen user side (illustration, calligraphy, and lettering) rather than woodworking, but I'm having a great time doing it!
I'm currently trying to figure out ways to adapt the pen kits to fit different water-soluble/water-resistant ink refills that are popular for art work and seeing how many times I can glue my fingers together with CA. I've attached a few photos of my initial efforts!
