Hello Fellow Pen Turners. I come upon this forum from time to time and completely forgot that I signed up for it a couple of months ago. A little about myself and my pen turning. I am married, have two kids and currently serve in the United States Air Force. I had always found turning very interesting but never thought I would be able to afford a Lathe, until I happened upon one at an estate sale for 25 Dollars, and its just been shavings and sand paper ever since. I have made about a dozen pens and I truly love it. Still working out a few kinks bur things are coming along. the Lathe that i bought at the estate sale is and old Craftsman from best guess the mid 70's its pretty hard to turn on since I can't really find accessories that fit it all to well. But I found a second lathe on craigslist its just a little Carba-tec which I believe used to be sold by PSI. once I got on that lathe things took off pretty well. I hope I can be useful in this forum in the future and I have already gotten quite a bit of knowledge from you lot already. Thanks!

Lance
