Morning everyone, newish pen turner aboard! My name is justin, 25yo, and I run a custom cake business right outside of Raleigh. We specialize in 3d sculpted cakes and non traditional wedding cakes! Been turning for about a year, mainly working with exotics and started out turning bowls and platters as a hobby! Switched over to pens near the end of last year and couldn't be happier. First pen ever was a coffee bean epoxy, as my wife is a Starbucks manager. I like to jump in with both feet, tear it up, and learn from my mistakes. Prefer the Sierra style twist pens so far, getting good practice with these! This forum has been an incredible resource for tips, and feel selfish using the tips and tricks without a proper introduction! Current thing is segmenting with metals, scallops etc. as a new pen turner couldn't live without the advice that you all provide and my deepest appreciation goes out to you all! Thanks and hope to be posting pictures soon!
