Hello, I've owned a lathe for several years and the first thing I turned was a pen. I have tried bowl turning, spindle turning, etc… but I keep coming back to pens. I have given many as gifts because I never consider my work good enough to sell. So my goal is to get better at turning pens. Looked forward to learning from you guys and hope to meet some of you at the 2025 Midwestern Pen Turners conference in April.

Welcome! It is a fun hobby, and some are successful in moving it to a business, so good luck either way you go. The MPG show is a good choice - lots of good demo's including by some of our IAP members. I have only attended virtually during the covid era and enjoyed the programs very much. Enjoy!
