Hello everyone!
I just joined because I've started down a design and build of a mechanical pencil manufactured out of titanium in my home shop. As part of the build I am going to be documenting it on Youtube. I've made a short trailer of the project:

I'm fascinated by mechanical pencils and I want to build my own.
I'm formally educated in mechanical design and manufacturing. I'm currently working towards my master's degree in manufacturing engineering. I consider this to be somewhat of a personal capstone project for that degree.
I hope to share everything I learn with as many people I can, including the full design. I hope it will be an enjoyable learning experience for me, and for others.
