Hello everyone! Just a quick introduction as I am completely new to woodturning of any kind and obviously pen making as well. I am not new to woodworking however. Up until now I have focused on making furniture pieces and crafts such as cutting boards. I am not lucky enough to have a decent shop - 99% of my work is done outdoors in my in-laws driveway as the garage has no electricity. It is where I stage all my projects and store my tools but have to work outside for the lighting and I run extension cords to run most of my tools. Whatever works to get the job done, right?

I received my first ever mini lathe this Christmas. All other supplies needed to turn pens should be arriving today, so I plan to hopefully get started on my first ever pen this weeknd. I can't wait to get started!

Thanks everyone. I hope to talk to you in the forums!
