I am a long time lurker but finally felt like I had something to show. Your work is so creative that i am intimidated. However, this sierra has a story. A friend at work rescued a walnut tree from the burn pile at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL about 15 years ago. He brought in some pieces for me. It machines and finishes beautifully. I've made a picture frame, magic wand and some pens.

Welcome Mike from west Kentucky. Very nice pen especially using walnut. What I usually come up with is so dark that the grain doesn't show anything like yours does. Congratulations on a very fine pen.
