Fantastic video!!!
My uncle had a small machine shop with all belt driven machines, and this video took me back.
Many thanks for sharing,
Regards,
John

My uncle ran a shop in Sugarland Tx when I was a kid. Spent many hours out there. Learned to weld, and run a lathe... good times.

That young man was raised right. Great Video I remember building our first race car drawing it out on the floor of garage with chalk back in the 1955 or so.

Thanks for the post, Shows of a time when Tradesmen were Tradesmen, just reliant on their own and learnt skills, not the technical development of others, built into the machinery. No planned obsolescence there.

Loved the video. We always stopped at 9:30 and 3:00 on the farm. I think my Dad carried that tradition over from his Dad when they rested the horses. Expected those guys to dump the peanuts in the Dr. Pepper, and loved their pickup at the intro. Very enjoyable!

Being a new machinist apprentice myself I figure Pierce will be a much better machinist than I will in a faster time frame. That shop may be old but I would love to learn in a place like that.

Something about the old school ways I have always liked, but everywhere else is CNC now.
