Got a few grandkid's heading to school that requested PaPa make them some pen and Pencils. Decided the Pentel 0.9MM pencil and PSI Executive ball point to fill the job.

Used a Skelton blank loaded. with Maple, Osage Orange and Walnut for ball point and for the P209 pencil conversons used Olive wood, Maple, and two bloodwoods.

They look great. Which tutorial did you use for the Pentel conversion?
I'm not Charlie but I offer this bit of information. I've made the conversion with the special drill and using the special mandrell. But, this is the easiest way (my opinion) using no special tooling.
Do a good turn daily!

Nice job. I like all 5 but especially the pentel conversions.

I ordered the step drill from Rick Herrell and picked up a P209 at Staples. I have a couple of either P205 or P207s in the dravting drawer.
I am going to give it a try when the drill bit gets gets here.

I'm a .9mm fan also. I tend to break the .5 and .7 leads as I write.
Don: Same with me on the 5/7, 9 is much better. Been playing around with the 1.3 and this it's just to much lead so it looks like then 9 will be the replacement everyday user. .

Now what about those rattle snake blanks, any time soon for 6. on bolt action blanks.???

Yeah, I am heavy handed and it's getting worse as I get older. The .9mm lead works great for me. I first started using them several years ago when my wife bought a package of really cheap .9mm Bic click pencils. They are all over the house and shop. Looks like they are available at Walmart and others for about 30 cents each. They are not as nice as a Pentel, but hold up well.
