Grain Orientation

Hi everyone,
On a screw off and post pen cap, should I orient the grain on the cap and body so they line up with the pen capped, or with the cap posted? I can't decide which would look better.

I always line up for pen capped

For a twist, it's always with the refill retracted.

But that's just me, and I'm weird. So's Keith
