Got back into the woodshop. Started with a PSI Satin Comfort Twist Pen Kit, #PKCFPENS, thanks @TonyL and BHW Translucent Green AA22P blank. My routine off-the-lathe finishing following final shaping with wet 320 grit paper. Polish was different this time, hand rubbing Meguiar's 105 then 205, again, thanks @TonyL. This was finished off with a hand-rubbed coat of Ren Wax.

Comments are appreciated.

Hey Don, I haven't forgot about you, just busy with the snow and all. Plus, I've got things to think about. You asked me in a PM how I sharpened my knives. Well, I use a stone mounted in a vise. Same way I sharpen my lathe tools. Old school but it works for me and I've been creating some great ribbons recently. I've got a slow RPM wet stone but to be honest, I can't tell you the last time I had it out. Elbow grease and a stone! Nice looking pen for sure.

Thanks Tom. I'll be 76 tomorrow and I really don't think I've got any elbow grease left. Found a nice device on-line, Wicked Edge system but dadgum it's spendy.

First off, Happy Birthday Don!!! It really doesn't take that much elbow grease, just time and patience to get it done. It's snowing here right now and we're expected to get 15" so I've got time. Overnite them to me and I'll get them sharpened "high and tight" and returned lickety split.

Thanks for the offer. My wife keeps assuring me that one of several outcomes is possible. 1) they don't all need to be razor sharp; 2) or, I continue to do them and stop complaining; 3) sell some of them and buy that sharpener I like.
As far as shipping them out to you, Mary says thanks, but that's probably not going to happen. Think I can claim abuse here? Back to the cabin to get one more done yet tonight. Anyone interested in a Benchmade Stryker?
