Got glue on the band!

Well, I got a little happy with the glue and had a little squeeze out and in an effort to wipe it off I brushed a little onto the 24K band. The brand of glue I am using is Balsa USA Gold CA glue thick formula. Any suggestions on how to get it off the band? Will debonder work or should I try something else (that won't hurt the finish)? And any suggestions on polishes?

What kit? I have a fair pile of slimline centerbands if that would help.

Put a little acetone on a paper towel. Gently rub the band only. It should come right off without damage to the harware.

If it is on the plastic (black band in Cigar and some other kits), acetone will make the plastic "dull". Looks like heck!!! So, your advice is absolutely correct-but BE CAREFUL-don't touch the plastic.

If anyone knows how to get it off plastic (other than lots of effort with soapy water), I would also like to know how!
