For your searching enjoyment, I just added Google Custom Search as an option under "Search" on the navbar. It searches just our site, similar to what you get if you go to Google and use the "site:penturners.org" in front of your search term. I also put a search box on the front page, at the bottom of the left-hand column.

There are more ads using custom search than a site-specific Google search, but I like the way the results are embedded in our site format rather than the plain Google page.

So, use the new Google Site Search, or use the regular built-in forum search, or use Google directly with site:penturners.org before your search term. We also submit daily sitemaps to Bing, so they have a good archive of our content is you prefer to use them.

Thank you very much for doing that.
There is really so much to this sight I am still learning about.
Do you have a classes or videos on how to use the whole site.
Thanks

Aside from the ads I like it! vBulletin's search feature has always sucked.

more for the bash trivia ...... you could close it if feb. for about a month .....

That won't stop many. Just add "site:penturners.org" to your google search and it is limited to just this site. It made trivia questions much easier .

Good one Jeff, saves a lot of typing, BTW I always put the site:penturners.org after my my search term, interesting to see that it works as well if you put that in front.

This is very handy addition.
For those that wonder why you would want to use a Google search rather than the forum search option. The forum search option doesn't work with a 3 letter search, do a forum search on DRO, you get nothing, do a Google forum search on DRO and you get ever thread that talks about DRO.

Jeff, you have really worked hard on this web site you created and all of us enjoy it so much. I have learned so much here as a new pen turner and we are all just like a big family.
