Looking at PSI's website today and they no longer list the Turncrafter Pro, Just the regular turncrafter, the carbatec and the new commander. Looks like they ditched what was probably their top seller and are forcing people to look at the new commander.

Turncrafter Pro

Amazon still lists the VS version....
PSI announced that they were discontinuing the Turncrafter Pro when they announced the Commander. They also said that for a time they are not making the Commander available to other sellers. The Commander was obviously developed to replace the Pro and it just wouldn't pay for PSI to offer both, they are too much alike.

You can still buy the PRO bed extension at amazon.com for $42.08

Commander series lathes added a work light and price increases, for lathes and accessories. Not sure there is a big difference from old PSI series lathes.

The 12" Commander for $400 is a bigger lathe than PRO series lathe.

Did PSI change China manufacturer?
