Crushed turquoise? I know BB's got it, but at $19/oz, is there anyplace cheaper? I don't really want it so much for pens, as for larger turnings and inlay into tabletop scenery. 1 oz doesn't seem like it'd go too far, know what I mean?

You might be able to use embossing powder from Michaels. IIRC they have some larger pieces also.

Or get a stick of the oversized trustone and crush it yourself. Or go to a bead store and get real, fine size beads and crush 'em in a mortar and pestle.

I don't have a catalog here but I think www.firemountaingems.com has turquoise scraps pretty cheap.
