Good Hotel in Virginia Beach, VA

We are planning on going to the MAPG in May. Afterwards we would like to go to Virginia Beach for a couple of days, but we are not sure which hotel would be the best one to stay at on the ocean. Do any of you have suggestions as to which hotel would be nice to stay at or have any of you stayed there yourself? We look forward to your opinions on that.

I can't help with where to stay, but I can tell you where not to stay - Barclay Towers. We stayed for 4 days last year and there wasn't a pleasant thing about it - internet service kept going out, no towels, breakfast buffet was miserable, and the list goes on and on...

There is one called Doubletree by Hilton. It is on 19th street at the oceanfront. It has a Max & Ermas restaurant in side. There is also a comfort inn and holiday inns down here. I had friends vist from Ohio say it was good. PM me if you want.
