I've been using these round carbide for a couple years now, though I did buy the mating holder so that I could cut it off to fit a metal lathe tool holder.

Just dropped an order on a set of 10 but wish I would have looked at the rest of the site first. I probably would have tried their bandsaw blades and maybe a 10" saw blade. Maybe next time.

Does anyone know if there are truly pointy (not rounded) inserts for the EWT Full Size Detailer? I have the standard inserts for it, but they have a notably rounded tip...its not actually pointy, which greatly limits its versatility as a...well, detailer.

I thought I'd come across a truly pointed (sharp, puncture your finger kind of pointed) detailer carbide tip at one point, but I've never been able to find it again.

Carbide is a brittle material and a sharp point would break off too easily. Since they were developed from the machining industry I doubt you will find any with a sharp tip. A small radius sure.

Will this one do assuming you have a tool to hold it?
