Well actually its been pretty crummy weather here.

But thats not the point.

Dad got back from our supplier with good news:
After a year of no burl and another year of fighting for the right to harvest them, our supplier finally won, the burls are already here!

To be more precise, 10,000 lbs. of paela and chechen burl is here, we should be able to pick some up in a few weeks.

We were famous on ebay for our burls, we had customers that said they won't even look at other hardwoods because of them.

I think the least I can sell them for is $12 a lb., but I may be wrong, well see.
I don't care the price, its gonna be happy turning for me when every inch of our garage is packed with burl caps bigger than the lathe.

Jumpin with joy over here.

Boy, I'm REALLY excited!
You guys get your little 6" stick of this, I get 150 pound burls taller than half my siblings, the majesty of burls is lost when all you get to see is a twig sized sample of it. When it comes in I'll see what kind of pics I can get.

CHECHEN BURL

PAELA BURL - The burls in the pics aren't very figured at all.

Those pics are from hobbithouse's pic collection.
You know if you go through the hardwoods, you'll find pics he took from dad's ebay auctions?

I remeber chechen as being a mixture of green, white, red almost, and brown, the paela looks about right in color, but I don't see many burl eyes.

Dad is happy, he said he held a large chechen burl in his arms yesterday.[:p][:p]
