lol hey i am in Toronto, theres tons of stuff to do here.
St lawrence market for food and interesting trinkets

umm this weekend is the jazz festival and the Canadian open at St Georges
Next weekend I believe is the Taste of the danforth and Caribanna

Last weekend was the indy and East asia festival.

Theres always the islands and the Rom has the clay soldiers from that chinese tomb as well as some Harry Potter thing at the science centre

Theres pacific mall in markham, the largest Asian mall in north america

Theres all sorts of nature trails if your interested in those.

Ask away if you come by, I'm pretty sure I can find something great for you to do.

the nature trails are worth looking forward too. what kinda bear do you fellas got up yonder?
no really i wanted to go on a 10 day trip touring canadas nature parks, much of which by canoe, but due to a limited budget and limited days off my parents went with this option instead. bummer:frown:
im just not much of a city guy im definately more of a nature guy. cities are loud, cramped, ominous, and full of ornery people. (from my experiance)

I think what you want is the Bruce Trail , about 500 miles from Niagara Falls to Georgian Bay , along the Niagara Escarpment . Accessible from any of the Conservancy areas , many within an hour or less of Toronto , depending on where you are staying . Personally , I loved the area around Limehouse , but that was the only part of it that I walked . I`m sure you would enjoy any part of it . I know I would rather be in the pine woods on a hot sticky Ontario day than on a Toronto street ! Lots of info on it , from Wikipedia to the trail organisation , link below . Have a good holiday !!

Many times.... It can be ugly or beautiful, depending on when you're there and your tolerance for big cities...

Many years ago, worked in Vancouver for an international consumer products corp. The standard joke in the marketing department was a consumer contest where the 1st prize was a week in Toronto. The second prize was two weeks in Toronto.

Oh the skyline of Toronto
Is somethin` you`ll get onto
But they say you`ve got to live there for a while
And if you got the money
You can get yourself a honey
A written guarantee ta make you smile
But it`s snowin` in the city
And the streets and brown and gritty
And I know there`s pretty girls all over town
But they never seem ta find me
And the one I left behind me
Is the reason that I`ll be Alberta bound
