Hey everyone,

This has got to be one of the most frustrating times I've had regarding pen turning! After joing IAP and seeing so many awesome works of art and getting so much inspiration all I want to do is turn! The problem is my school would probably look down upon me turning in my dorm room. I feel like I have so many ideas that I just want to try and I can't do anything about it! Hopefully this week goes quickly, I'm going to try to get home when I get off work Saturday and see what I can turn. Hope everyone's week is getting off on the right foot.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex, next Semester take a working class. Then you can use the open lab hours to get in lots of turing time.

Of course I'm assuming your university/ college has a wood working course.

It's not near as much fun, but start filling up a notebook with design ideas you want to try. If you don't write these ideas down you will lose them. Writing down your ideas will also help you put together your shopping list of pen components and supplies so you'll be ready to turn when you finally get some lathe time. Good luck!

Scott.
