Welcome to 4,400' in Bear Valley!

I tried to post a video, but an iPhone.mov file was not allowed, huh?

I'll be doing that tomorrow or Friday Mark. I think your storm moved our way as it's snowing (again!) at my place. I'm at 5400' and were supposed to get around 6-12" outta this one. We'll be pushing the 8' mark for the season so far this year. I did get the chains on the plow in the sunshine so I've got that done.

I feel bad. We get the rap for having a lot of snow in western NY but have nothing. This storm is supposed to give us only rain, actually have some thunderstorm warnings, crazy for almost December.
By the way my 1987 John Deere snowthrower is ready to go. That thing is a tank!

The nearest we came at this time (summer officially DEc1) is snow on the surrounding hills. Never had to shovel snow thank goodness however you make it almost like fun with that machine.Hang in there mate and have a beaut Christmas.

I am in Southern California. In the news this morning: One of the active wildfires in our local area will get snow today.

I love the mountains and snow....but I do not miss shoveling that stuff!! My dad didn't buy a snowblower until my brother and I moved out of the house. We asked him why it took so long....."Why should I buy something like that when I have you two?"

Sound wisdom. The difference between rain and snow is you don't have to shovel rain. I was born and raised in Ohio. Snow never bothered me. I've always said anyone who lived south of Knoxville TN should live up north one winter.
