Nothing fancy, but I designed two sizes of spreaders to distribute wood glue when segmenting.
They are cheap, easy to print and last longer than expected if promptly wiped off.
The bumpers have kept things neater too... or more accurately "less messy."

3D Print Files:
Saved as obj files.
1.25 inch file: Outer Dimensions: x 41.524mm; y 4.553; z 37.197
1.5 inch file: Outer Dimensions: x 41.524mm; y 4.553; z 37.197
If you scale these to other widths I suspect they'll continue to work.

Thanks for looking,
Cullen

I don't have a printer, but thanks for the files.
Hopefully some day I will get on, or find someone
Close by and have them make a few for me

Any chance you could make these and I compensate you for the materials and time? I do not know CAD and do not have plans to get a 3D printer. Sometimes it is just easier to get it from the person who makes them already if they are willing.

No sweat. I threw together a new version (attached) that contains 5 of each size (1/25" and 1.50") standing vertically in one batch. I tested it and can send you the resulting pieces. I'll DM for an address in a second. As for compensation, let's agree on a good charity you can send a small contribution to and we'll be square.

For those of us without 3D printers, here are some simple alternatives:

* Save some empty gift cards and other similar plastic. Cut one edge with pinking shears. Done. (The local woodworking stores save empty, expired gift cards for just that purpose - glue spreaders. Local woodworkers who want a few just ask.)

* Save your box joint jig test cuts to make glue spreaders. See below for an example test cut in a scrap of old paneling.

* To be honest, most of the time, I use the black flat glue spreader that came in the Rockler glue kit. Dried wood glue just peels off.
WARNING: Do not use those glue kits for non-wood glues like CA, epoxy, or Gorilla Clear glue.

I made the jig for this project:
