It's been a while since I last posted. I kinda took the last part of the summer off. (Travel and Honey-do's) and now I need to make some sawdust.
This past weekend my Wife was out on errands and calld me and asked if I wanted to go garage-saling. My first thought was NO!!!![V] But I decided I was tired of cleaning OUR garage, so what the heck, why not.....

Anyway, after about a dozen stops, I walk up one driveway and see this:

with a price tag of $150.00[:0][:0][:0]

Then in their Garage is this:

Also for $150.00
Well I almost flipped!! You see, I had just recently sold my motorcycle and bought a '02 Dodge Dakota and had $$ left over.

Apparently, the gentleman was losing his eyesight and wanted to keep his fingers, so he is selling most of his very well outfitted shop.
I looked in the corner of garage and saw this:

and this:

I made an offer on all of it and I got them all:

I got nearly $1500 worth of tools for $500

You bum.[:D] Kinda like Christmas in October. Sawdust you will make my friend, sawdust you will make.[:)]

Thanks Guys!! Especially you Billy, I knew I could count on you....[:p][;)]
I guess every squirrel finds a nut once in a while. [:I]
I did have to make a project for his wife. She's a quilter and needed 7" and 8" disks for pattern templates. It was the least I could do......

Haggel with him?? LOL!! I figured $200 for the sander and Incra was quite the haggle.

Ok it was my starting offer and he said, "$200? You caught me in a good mood. Sure $200 is fine..."

What was really funny is that when I got home (had to get the truck to get the tools) I saw my neighbor and told him about it and he said, "Oh!! Your the bastard who bought the jointer out from under me!![:(!][;)]"
He had seen it before me and went home to get his checkbook.
I actually offered $250 + the disks for his wife for the planer and jointer, but the gentleman was not home at the time. She called him but he didn't answer his cell phone. I said my offer stands and call me ASAP. As my Wife and I were walking to the van, she asked me how much the planer and jointer were worth. I said $700-800... She said I'd better go buy 'em now before somebody get them first. So I did. My Wife is ONE SMART COOKIE!!!![:)][:)]

I have had the Ridgid planer and sander units for about three years now and love mine. You did get a great deal on that Incra unit. Congrats.[:p]
