Glass Turtles

Pens led to glass pens wich lead to beads with led to marbles with led to turtles.

Those are neat. Are they blown or fused? I do lampwork from time to time.

They are lampworked. A propane and O2 mix. They are soft glass not Boro. I use a marble mold for the back then blow out the dots. The flame is almost as addictive as sawdust.

I use the MAPP gas for now. You should make some of those with the dicroic glass in the center. What kiln do you have?

Those would look good cast into bottle stoppers, much like Ed does with the roses.

Humm, bigger pics. Hopefully these are bigger. They are about the size of a 50cent piece. I have made them as refrigerator magnets, necklaces, earings and guardians of my pens.
