Giving Credit Where Credit Is Due!

Those of you who attended any of the first four MPGs will remember this man. He is Terrence Stuber (Poppers-n-Pens here on IAP), one of my Son-in-Laws. As far as I am concerned, he is an unsung hero because without him, the MPG might never have been. His ability to grasp the vision I had and help make it become reality was priceless to me then and still today in other areas of life. I don't know how many times I heard him say, "Don't worry Dad, I will take care of it" and, "Is there anything else I can do?" He even stepped in as emcee when I didn't care to as I really didn't like speaking in front of people. That has changed so don't give me a microphone!! Below is a picture of him actually turning as he was then, and still today, a very busy man so it is hard for him to find time to turn. He has assured me he still wants to set up some turning space at their new home. I have a feeling he just might show up at the 2020 MPG!!! Thanks for all you have done, and still do Terrence!!! Love ya!

Not sure of when this picture was taken but it may have well been before the first MPG as we had a handful of people in my basement shop (I call it The Dungeon, my wife calls it Man Land!!) that day. It was times like these that got me to thinking about getting together and sharing on a larger scale. This is why I tell anyone who says they wish they had something like the MPG in their area to host it themselves. All it starts with is an invitation! The two gentlemen in the background are the Wayne brothers.

I agree with your sentiments regarding Terrence. I was never able to make it to the MPGs, but at some point there were videos offered up for sale, and if I recall correctly, it was Terrence who sent mine to me. And was very cordial in the process.

Great tribute, and sounds like it's for a worthy person. Looking forward to meeting Terrence next year. And, Greg--my apologies for not taking a minute to thank you in person. This was my first MPG, and i much appreciate what you did to get it all rolling.

Greg, you and Terrence were such good hosts! The first and second MPGs are treasures in my memory. Getting together with people that loved making pens and sharing their knowledge created friendships and boosted my skills.

Thank you both for taking on the task of creating, organizing and running the MPG. And making the food, and cleaning up after and hauling stuff back home...
