I had a friend of mine commission a couple of pens for his wife for valentines/birthday. I've known him for a long time, and I met him photographing a yearly multi day concert in Idaho. He's one of the "locals" that assists with the event every year, and I probably photographed it 6 or 7 times. There's a running joke between us that every time I was backstage taking candid shots, inevitably he'd be stuffing his face with a fork and what ever food was available. I'd always be asking him where his fork was. So, when he asked about the pens, I had to make a custom fork. It's made out of zebra wood and an extra fork my wife had on hand. Complete with a custom finial. I think he'll get a big kick out of it.
