I don't usually post these things, but I recently learned that one of my pens was given as a gift from the Governor of Maine to the President of Iceland on October 13, 2017. I'm completely honored and even more speechless! Below are the photo, links and the text that accompanied the photos.
Today, Maine Governor Paul LePage met with President of Iceland Guðni Th. Jóhannesson. Governor LePage presented President Jóhannesson with a handcrafted pen set made by Kennebec Pen Works of Augusta. They discussed the successful MOU between Maine and Iceland and areas for future expansion, including cooperation in outdoor tourism and marine technologies. A former professor, President Jóhannesson also translated several works by Maine author Stephen King into Icelandic.
