Visited a good friend Fri. and left with a few beautiful blanks. One was a great looking Padauk.

After finishing up 24 key rings for a customer I got to turn the pen,here`s the results. What you think?








Platinum Designer kit with friction polish finish topped off with ren wax.
Center band is pick-guard. Thanks for looking.

Very nicely done. I've had to cut back on my Paduak turning... I think I'm beginning to re-act to it. It's a nice colorful wood though and I like the way it looks.

Chuck this was actually my first time to turn Padauk. I liked the way it turned,the way it finished and the way the color change from an orange look to the redder look. Sure hope I don`t have any sort of reaction because I want to turn more of this wood.
