If someone could get some of this wood with a certificate of authenticity it would make for some great projects with an awesome story.
Note sure it is even possible, form a legal standpoint.

WOW!!! That's a lot of wood, but understandably it's probably best left where it lies.

I might be one of the closest members, but I think I'd have a hard time getting the forest service to agree to me harvesting blanks from that tree.
