Slowly getting ready to do my first show with woodworking items (already do them with blacksmithed goods). Finished ap a Spanish cedar bowl, a little oak desk bowl, a 30 cal pen with patriotic swirl acrylic, and a motorcycle pen with a Wild Turkey barrel body. Also finished up the body for a Presimo fountain pen from ancient bog oak, and as I was putting it together, noticed a small chip from the end šŸ˜ž. Thinking about cutting back 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch to remove the chip, then putting in some oak to make a kind of before and after with the bog oak

Probably could have filled that chip in with some sawdust from the bog oak and CA. Hope you do well at the show!
Chipped out when taking the CA off the ends after finishing or I would have. Thought about just using some white acrylic to make an end piece, then came up with the idea of new oak against old oak. Pen kit is chrome so I'll probably throw in a thin piece of aluminum between the woods to accentuate.
