I am getting married in May to a very wonderful woman. We have been dating for 5 years and I asked her to marry me on her birthday last October and she said yes. So, I have been on cloud nine since then.

For the reception I am going to have a guest book that everyone can sign and I want to make a fancy rollerball pen.
The only thing is that I cannot decide on which kit to use. I was thinking of the Majestic Jr or the Broadwell Nouveau Sceptre from PSI. Does anyone have any other suggestions for a fancy pen kit beside those?

As for the blank, I am thinking of Alt. Ivory or Mother of Pearl Tru-Stone or even White Turquoise Tru-Stone. I am open to suggestions on this also.

I am trying to keep the cost of the kit and blank under $50 since I am running out of money after buying a house and paying for my wedding.

I welcome any and all suggestions with this.

Thank you all in advance.

If you design it as a "closed end" pen, nearly any kit can be used.

Want a little "bling" on the centerband, use the Triton or the Jr. Statesman.

Bling-free: Baron (Navigator) or Jr. Gent.

What Ed Sed, although I prefer the jr. Gents and Jr. Statesmen, personally.

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding. Best thing I ever did was to let my wife talk me into asking her.

Congratulations !!

Cambridge may work too if you are looking for bling...plus Timberbits has a special posted in the classifieds.

No matter what you do, think about the blank & the kit. Make it too blingey (is that a word?) and your plan may backfire. Nice kit + simpler blank or simple kit +stunning blank.

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials... I don't have any suggestion on the pen and others have offered much better info than I could have anyway...

My question is: What took you so long? Five years is a long time - especially when you get my age... I dated my wife almost 3 weeks before I asked her and we married in 3 months... she didn't want to wait in case I changed my mind I guess... we're coming up on 19 years next month.

Best of luck and congratulations again.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will take a look at the kits that were suggested.

As for why it took me so long to ask her. I have no answer. Her mother asked me the same thing.

I will make sure to post a picture of them completed pen when I get it done.
