getting better

Spent some time chatting with Barry Gross on Monday, bought some of his finishing tools and a buffing mandrel. I've been doing a pretty good BLO + CA finish, but wanted to improve my CA only finish. After getting some pointers from Barry, I was able to turn a couple of Jr. Gentlemen (Maple Burl & Goncalo Alves) that finished well. Not a great picture - (I was too lazy to go setup my lightbox), but I have to say, Barry's method do work well. It'll be a long time before I get this finish in five minutes, though...
