Took the bike out on a little 100 mile loop today and I am done in--shocking! It's perfect riding weather here in Maine right now. Here's the bike at the rest area above The Forks on Route 201 (Wyman Lake aka the flooded Kennebec River) is in the background. This is along the route Benedict Arnold took on his rather ill-fated jaunt to Quebec a few years ago.

Thanks, Gordon, yes, it was a great ride--had the road to myself a good share of the way. A bit of traffic on 201, mostly Canadians headed home (you can tell 'cause they run their headlights in the day-time). 201 up through The Forks is super-twisty and lots of fun on a bike. I'll admit I was running at least 20-40 MPH slower than when we did it 30 years ago (taking 25 MPH hair-pins at 75). I've slowed down considerably in my "old age" (not to mention that the Low Rider is not really designed for carving up the turns). These days I just like to putt along and enjoy the scenery.

Regards,
Michael
