This afternoon, I am a little bummed out. I am interested in making the CSUSA Gentleman's pens as a kit offering, and ordered or made sure that I had the drill bits, blanks, and the kits themselves. CSUSA has been most helpful, and their customer service is great.

Unfortunately, they have been out of stock of the bushings, and it looks like it will be at least 2+ weeks before the ones I ordered in April will be sent.

Is there a reasonable source for these bushings? I saw the forum posts about the delrin or plastic busings (http://www.penturners.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=29489), but would rather look for an alternate source for the same items here first.

Is there another pen kit / supplier that offers compatible bushings?

Thanks in advance.

When push comes to shove, you can always turn your own.

Use 7mm tube through corian, tru-stone, resin or even wood. Turn to proper diameters.

Yeah, theoretically. However, I am not yet quite that good -- pens are about where I top out now, and it is more of a hobby.

Anyone willing to part with an extra set? :)

If there are no other sources, I will probably wait until the end of the month. :(

How about a used set for no cost if you
send me your mailing info? I'll just never use them.;)
That would get you going until your new ones arrive.
The delrin ones you refer to are
for finishing,not really turning,anyway.
