Genga Wood for Turning?

Hello all,
I didn't find a better forum to ask this.
I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones.
I have a stupid question but I am allowed to do that as a novice
Can I use those giant Jenga wood blocks for turning small objects?
I don't have any but I can buy those pretty cheap on marketplace.

Sure, but they are probably just cheap, plain, common woods like pine, fir, alder, etc.
