Gel will not start writting

I have about 100 parker style refills i bought 3 - 4 years ago from Brea hard woods metal sleve some will start to write and most will not any though how to get to work or are they just trash? Never ben frozen

Lube the ball. Try wet towel, or what I do, lick your thumb, write where you licked, then try paper. If that doesn't work, try heat.
 
We used to buy refilled cartridges for my printer at the last job I had... It usually meant I spent about 15-45 minutes running hot water over the cartridges before they would start to print... you might try the same thing with the gel refills.... might even just dip them in really hot water a few times... otherwise the gel may have set and the refills are just trash.. good luck!

Warm water on the tip rubbing gently can clear it when the ink has set around the tip. I have used heat (maybe 125 degrees) putting the whole refill in the oven on low heat - not hot enough to burn if you handle it with your bare hands or to melt the plastic..
