Named by the aboriginal name for the tree or bush.Found in South Australia through Nth Victoria,NSW to Queensland in arid areas.

Its growth is normally pendulous like Willow trees and gives rise to another common name as Australian Willow.Native people chew the leaves for relief from toothache. The timber has a sweet aroma when cut. It is a member of the Citrus family.

That piece of wood seems to have an interesting grain pattern. . I am wondering if that is typical of this wood or perhaps the wood came from a small diameter branch.
