Got this email today.....it look (s left off on purpose) lagit, right??????????Attention: Our Valued Customer

We wishes to Inform you that your Two Consignment Box Containing a Total Sum of $250,000.00 United State Dollars Each, which is being shipped from the Head Office of the President Obama Foundation in Texas, United State Compensation Unit for Defrauded/Scammed victims has just arrived In your Country and the Delivery Agent have informed this Office that he has Misplaced the Address that was given to him for the delivery of the Said Consignment box to you.

We therefore urge you to as a matter of urgency reconfirm the following informations for him to be able to Deliver your Consignment Box to you at your Home Address first thing on Monday Morning.

You know, I sometimes wonder if the grammar error on these types of e-mails are intentional. Perhaps they only really want responses from marks who, unfortunately, are not well enough educated to see them.

It's just not that hard to correct most of these. MS Word finds most of them automatically.

This sounds like a important consignment box to me, and I think you should be providing the necessary info to them "toute suite". Like immediately or in the next couple of days, weeks, months or years, or like whenever you get around to it, which might be never! :laugh::laugh:

I've read that the grammar errors are definitely done on purpose because it allows the emails to pass through some spam filters. I do not open any email that doesn't come from someone that I personally know, and sometimes not even then, if the subject lines sounds a little funny, "I just got a great deal" for example.
 
I would love to meet the people that fall for these tricks. Tell them to look to the left or right and then pop them in the back of the head with my hand.:biggrin:

Seamus, my bride's friend has a son that is one of them. The slap to the back of the head would need to be with a 2 X 4 swung real hard. He bought into the overpay check twice.

You should let them know that the Obama administration has approved the $250 and that they may collect it from the Attorney General at their convenience.
 
For the record you should not respond at all. If you do they now know they have found a valid email account that someone actually checks. It doesn't matter if you fall for the scam or not. Just that information is valuable to them.

This is a good one. The tracking numbers actually track something. Go get a copy of Obama's birth certificate and a picture of Obama and respond to the email. Could be a lot of fun.
 
I am think of starting a business.

For the small fee of $5 for each request, you can complete the necessary information on these e-mails and then send it it me. For that small fee, I will verify which ones are real and which ones are scams:)
