Gecko, Scrub Jay, Chimpanzee; wildlife paintings

Pleasant weekend of painting - these three little commissions began as field sketches at the CA Academy of Sciences, in my backyard, and at the SF Zoo; finished as 8x8" acrylics. I made simple frames.

The third one strikes me as semi-autobiographical.

I like them all but I think the chimp is looking at me
I also like the distressed frames as they do their job but are subtle and don't say "Look at Me".
