This is a PSI Gatsby Grande pen in gunmetal. The blank is a Cosmic Silver/Grey, also from PSI. I was pleasantly surprised by this blank, it has more pearl in it than I expected. I like the Gatsby and Gatsby Grande pens better than the Sierra and Sierra Vista, and I like the Gatsby Grande better than the Gatsby.

I knew the blank was translucent as soon as I drilled it. I painted the tube and colored the epoxy silver, even though the body is pretty thick on this kit. I wasn't taking any chances.

Your patience paid-off! I am not a Gatsby-guy (liked the booked; lived where it took place LOL), but I can appreciate a beautifully prepped, turned, and finished pen. Thanks for sharing the pic. You may turn me into one! As I am sure that you know, but will mention for others (I only learned this a few months ago) a Parker-style BP pen will accept a Parker-style gel refill. Now, one has a writing experience similar (some sat better) than a RB.

I've actually known about the Parker gel refills for years. Several of the suppliers also sell generic Parker style gel refills. I personally am not a big fan of gel refills, they're kind of scratchy to me.
