This is a Gatsby pen in chrome and gunmetal, with an Acrylic Acetate blank called Dark Blue Swirl. Quite a lovely blank, that matches well with the pen, I think. This is for a girl at work that is expecting a baby boy. I ordered a baby book to go with it. Quick and easy project.

The blank didn't appear to be very translucent, but I didn't take any chances. I painted the tube and blank, and colored the epoxy.

I had the idea of making that exact same combo, except the blank I'm going to use is a dark blue sparkle AA. I was planning on using the chrome & gun metal Gatsby kit. I'm glad you posted this because it really gives me an idea of how it should turn out.

The sparkle blank should look good, too.
