I am sure alot of you already know this, but I did not.

I was at Home Depot this morning and picked up what they call "the Block".
it is 4 pounds of Precut t-shirt matierial. The material is cut into about 4x6 squarish pieces, all washed and comes in a resealable bag.
Its on sale through labor day for $7.97...

Menards has 5 lb boxes available too. That's what I use for almost all of my finishing. And it's cheap enough that I don't bother to wash a lot of it b/c it's gunked up with cured finish...

You bother to wash ANY of it???

I'm with Cav. I buy the bag of rags at Rockler $5 for a 1# bag and I toss as I use it. I will be going to Home Depot for the cheaper ones thanks to Kirby's post. I would think that washing the rags would be hard on your machine especially dust, CA and Novus. Unless you are like Ed and take em down to the river and beat em with rocks.[:p]

OK, OK. I don't wash the rags! But int he city I live in, the Eco-heads would put my head on a stick if they heard me say I threw away a potentially reusable item.... [B)]

I also find them cheap enough to use and throw away.

I buy them form Sherwin-Williams a 10 lb box run form $10 to $15 watch for sales. I also used to buy from a place called Cotton Picken Rags in Springfield Missouri for $.25/lb if you buy enough of them usually about a 100 lbs.[:D][^]

OK, you had me worried there for awhile.[8D] You have lots of things where you live, including a famous airport! I hear that the restrooms there are really special. [}:)]

Cav don't ***** foot around that subject.

tried them last night. No noticable lint...soft as my cutup beater t shirts...

I would like to add when you throw away those rags, it might be a good idea to put them in a sealed container along with a little water. It would be a real shame to see all those nice blanks go up in smoke.
