I've been having fun learning how to make lidded boxes here.
Attached are a few items, the first one is made from mesquite,
the second one from cherry, and the third one from orchid. Also included
is a mesquite candle holder. It's about 6 inches tall and was tapered
to show the transition from bark to sap wood to heart wood.
The finish for all was 3 coats of friction polish followed by wax.
