I had a request from an avid fly fisherman for a pen incorporating the first fly he ever caught a fish with. I had a tolerance of .660 before the lure would break through and at final polished diameter ended up with .008 clearance. I was nervous the entire time, but got it done.

This is a really great idea. And looks awesome. I especially like how you paired the fly with the fish-scale background in the blank. I assume you did a label?

Thanks folks. The backing is indeed a decal. I had the customer ship it to a casting pro then he shipped it to me.
it was a little nerve wracking experience to say the least, but I think overall they will be happy.
