OK I am used to pay through the nose on long drives to the north slope for hunts. $6.00 per gallon is par for the course in cold foot. We just did some book keeping and we have been spending from $719-856 a monmth on fuel for the trucks! This is without any big trips and dosent include the boat or the sledd!

But look at all the money you are saving on meat. Your going to spend the money one way or the other, you may as well enjoy it.

Nice theory Wolfat but I hunt bear out the back door, zero fuel cost. Bear was the only hunting available during the months we just totaled! It's going to be very hard to justify our Caribou trip! Thank god we switched over to a 4 stroke on the boat!

Make your own fuel!
We just got back from a 10 day camping trip, burned through 60 gallons of diesel.
Total cost for fuel, $70.20, or $1.17/gallon.
Makes travel a lot easier on the wallet........

Yikes... I bought gas today at $3.169 per gallon... Dropped $.40 this week...

Hope it gets better for you!

It was $4.00 a gallon here a week ago. Today I filled up for $3.49. I spend about $140.00 in gas a month. Couldn't imagine $800 + every month.
